My name is Grant!
This blog began as a class project for University but it should exist anyway as a place for me to plaster my musing on all things cocktails, spirits, craft beer, & bartending.
While I have an intense passion for all thing bartending, I’ve never stepped foot behind a bar. All my knowledge & expertise comes from personal experience, books, Youtube, & talking to the ones that actually stand on the other side of the bar.
So stay tuned! I’ll be posting my thoughts on everything from bottles that pass through my bar to the delicate nuances of shaker tins & barspoons.
What I’m About
As an amateur enthusiast, I approach things differently than a professional might. I’m focused on getting & providing info on the greatest possible value for anyone looking to get into spirits & cocktails.
It can be intimidating – while each glassful might only cost a few bucks, building up a collection of bottles, syrups, & gear can carry high costs up front. I’ll do my best to show you the best ways to spend your money.
Despite this focus on value, I don’t cut corners. As often as I can, I use fresh juices, homemade syrups, & quality spirits. Shortcuts show; you can taste them & you don’t want to.
